Positive Caring Programme for Ayis' - 13th March
Following from last year, we will be running a series of workshops for ayis at our Little Riviera campus. The programme is free and offers practical support for ayis of our children living in Beijing. The workshops will be led by professional educators with a wealth of experience in working with young children and their parents. All workshops will be conducted in Mandarin/English. The next workshop is entitled Activities for Children under 1 and your ayi can learn how to provide some practical activities for children under 1 year.

Beijing Youth Orchestra – Sunday 14th March
The Beijing Youth Orchestra embarks on its first ever Concerto Series. Last years winner of the Young Musician of the Future competition, Daniel Zhao, will perform the Grieg Piano Concerto in A Minor, Opus 16. The concert will take place in the Edward Alleyn Theatre on Sunday 14th March at 7.30 p.m. The BYO comprises of 40 of the top Chinese musicians from the Central and China Conservatoires and the very best students from Dulwich College, WAB, ISB and BISS.

Author Visit: Benjamin Zephaniah - 16th March
British writer, Benjamin Zephaniah will be visiting Dulwich on Tuesday 16th March. Benjamin is a British Jamaican Rastafarian writer and dub poet. He is a well-known figure in contemporary English literature, and was included in The Times list of Britain’s top 50 post-war writers. The writer’s poetry is influenced by Jamaican music and poetry.

Author Visit: Emily Gravett - 22nd March
Emily Gravett, winner of the Kate Greenaway Medal in 2005 for Wolves and 2008 for Little Mouse’s Big Book of Fears will be visiting Year 2 on Monday 22nd March. Her first picture book, Wolves was published in August 2005 and marked the beginning of an internationally stellar career creating extraordinary books for children. |

Senior School Parents Workshop - 1st April
Senior School Pastoral Team will be offering a Parents’ Workshop on “Surviving the Beijing Party Scene” - the event will begin with a presentation by Students Can Help on “Students & Alcohol” and thereafter topics for discussion will include dangers, alcohol, drugs, relationships, parents. Specifically, we will try and help parents work through strategies for ensuring understanding, safety and peace of mind.

Forbidden Requiem
The Forbidden Requiem
Dulwich College Beijing hosted the third annual International Schools Choral Music Society Festival during 24th-28th February. The festival culminated in a performance of the Mozart Requiem in the Forbidden City Concert Hall. The outstanding performance was the conclusion of 3 days of intensive work on the music, with over 400 participants from 20 International Schools applying themselves with a great deal of dedication and professionalism.

London Trip
London Art & Drama Trip
During the Chinese New Year holiday, 109 students and 12 teachers travelled to London on a Drama and Art trip. During the eight days on the trip, the Drama students took part in workshops on Stage Combat, Musical Theatre, Shakespeare and TV Acting; the Art students visited Tate Modern, the National Portrait Gallery, the British Museum and the Saatchi Gallery, while also taking part in their own workshops
